So that was then.....

We loved Sevilla. It was great to have an apartment where we could cook for ourselves and chill out and the roof terrace was an added bonus.

The school was ideal and our teacher, Patricia, great fun. I kept my eyes open in most of our classes!

Not least, it was interesting to get a feel for the preparations for Semana Santa or Holy Week. Here's one of the final practices. The guys with the strange head gear are costaleros. They get to support the platforms carrying the various statues as they process through the streets. It's sweaty and difficult work manoeuvering through those narrow streets and considered a great honour. People come from all over the world and in Sevilla they rent out their balconies to people who want to get a good view!

Now we are off to San Roque.......
